Desolate Evenings...

I am in a manic depressive mood today. I don't know why. I didn't start my day off being depressive but I surely ended in a mood which would not brighten anyone's day.

Feel as if life is not moving? As if you are stuck in the same position with the same issues and worries as you had a few years ago. I feel as if I am not moving. I feel static in this fast moving world. Everyone is off moving on with their lives and here I am in the same place doing the same thing. As much as I would rather nothing change it all is. Eventually everyone will go off and we shall be back at square one finding our roots in another barren field.

Have you ever in the mood to not social. To just crawl deeper within yourself and not come out. I feel protected when I am dead silent and not out there. I feel warm, in an otherwise cold dark place.

Bike Trauma, Shades of Grey, Tiger lilies, and Jet Li

I'm back again. So its Sunday and I am up to no good so I figured I would update. Such dedication right??

My week leading into the weekend basically sucked. Abs car got a flyer stuck on it and when I went to remove it the ink from the poster was stuck to the car. (oh shit) Also on Thursday, Roshanee's bike and my bike got stolen. Who would steal a hot pink bike? It was brand new and I had just brought it up from NJ. Bummer what a waste of me driving. Could have taken the bus. Besides that. Abizer came into town. Oh goody.

Me; dreaming of my bike...

But before indulging in the weekend escapades. I watched the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy. McDreamy is a hunk. Growl. And meridith kind of talks funny but the sparks that fly when they are together on screen are va va vroom. Too bad Danny died because I was waiting to watch them having wild carnal sex on the hospital bed with all of the machines beeping.

So onto the weekend. On Friday, I went grocery shopping before Abs got here, so that my fridge would be full. I bought tons and tons of food. Yup Yup. And most of it was well used by the starving stranglers that drop by every now and then. Friday evening Jane, Rosh, Abs, Amrita, V, Sejal, Suman, Suhas, Danny, Rishi, and I went to Tiger lilies. I haven't been there since my freshman year. They are known for there scorpion bowls. We had a ton of fun. Between the glamour shots, musicals chairs, Danny's vomiting act, and the Mala Malaysian chicken it was a good night. On the way home we stopped by Sejals apartment on Westland Ave. to see Jen's kitten. It was such a cute little runt. Kinda felt like squeezing it to death.

Sejal, Jane, Amrita, Roshanee, and me:

Sejal, Jane, McSexy, Roshanee, and Suman:

Saturday; Rosh, Abs, Rishi, and I went to see the new condo's on Park Street, near the AMC 13. The place was sweet but we are still looking around. Afterwards we picked up Ann, Heejin, and Navina and drove over to Commonwealth for some Indian food. It was soo spicy. The man figured ohh its my own brown people they can handle the "mirch". Well, no we actually can't. First we all coughed our lungs up, and then we downed 60 jugs of water, and then we inhaled all of their yogurt on the premises. Got dairy?

After eating lunch, the whole crowd went over to the Prudential/Copley. Abs and I went to Papyrus to pick out save the date cards for the upcoming wedding. Ann, Navina, and Heekin, went to Jasmine Sola to buy pretty dresses. Roshanee went on a hunt for truffles, and eventually Sejal and Jane also met us there.

In the evening, Rosh and her posse went to Tangerino's and Ann and I went to see Jet Li's Fearless. It was good movie. It was subtitled from Chinese. The fighting scenes were intense but still they were able to add a bit of humor. Also, Abs who wasn't feeling well, took a nap in the apartment until Ann and I came back.

Hiiiiiiyaaaaaa!!!!

Sunday thankfully was designated the day of rest, with a lot of thought. I rested by taking a 3 hour nap while Abs watched his football. Abs got on the 6:30 bus home, while I waited until 6:38 (sunset) to break my fast and eat something. I am doing the fasting for Ramadan, but not for religious purposes but to lose weight.

Well that was about it for the weekend. Bye again

Mickey, Floods, Brats, Wiccism, and Yangs

Hello my beautiful darlings. Well, hopefully you are beautiful and not Frankensteins progeny. I have not updated in soooo long. So much has happened since my last update so I will just clump it all into one long update.

I went to Florida 2 weekends ago with Abizer. And we stayed at this very cool resort which was walking distance from Universal Studio's and Adventure Island. It was soo hot that my makeup would drip off my face and make a collective spectrum of colors on the floor every day. Abs was in town for a conference, so I flew in from Boston to go to the theme parks with him on Saturday. We went to Disney World and met Mickey Mouse. Abizer was sooooo happy to meet his childhood hero. I was more or less wondering if it was a man in the costume or a women. Abs and I went to Magic Kingdom and took a picture with the fairytale castle in the background (a must apparently), and then we trudged over to MGM studio's since by that time in the day we were hot and sweaty, did I mention fatigued. In MGM we saw Indiana Jones, the show, escaped being hit by lightening, and contemplated how the Disney characters ran from one park to the other park so fast to greet us there as well (couldn't resist love...).

Abizer, Mickey Mouse, and me:

Me; ready to jump on Abs after a long day in Disney:

More or less, the trip was a lot of fun. I enjoyed watching Abizer get crimson in front of his childhood hero, and I loved the random boat rides, getting ice cream only to have it melt before the first bite, and singing along to the "YMCA" at Hard Rock Cafe. (Just so you know...I have this thing that if my ice cream starts to melt on me while eating it I get repulsed, and I refuse to continue eating it. Hmm... its true.)

Since most of you know that I love to watch the food network, we ate at Emeril's restaurant Choup chop, which was in our hotel. The food was amazing but I think it was laced with the same substance our school food is made of since Abs and I couldn't move after eating it.

Besides that, Rosh and I went home this past weekend for my brother's 10th birthday party, and my mom's "?" birthday party. Since she might kill me for disclosing her age. He had his party at Wall Arena which was this ice skating/laser tag/ arcade place where little boys go and get wild and then become donkeys....hmm that seems to be the story plot of Pinnochio. But none the less it was close to what my brother's party entailed - 15 boys who were from private school who were spoiled, wild and where the ice cream cake was surprisingly not producing a calming effect on them either.

Me, Dad, and Rosh at mom's birthday celebration: Meow

On Saturday we went to a party with my mom and dad. It was one of the oddest parties I have been to in a while. Crazier than Heejin's naked whip cream party. Don't ask and I won't scar you for life. Well back onto track I went to this party in a hotel in the middle of September that had this Halloween theme. Ahem, Halloween is on the 31st of OCTOBER not mid SEPTEMBER. The hostess was dancing around with a chucky-inspired pumpkin headed doll. Creepy. And the whole place was decked out with witches, ghouls, and freaks...Literally. Also, the hostess gave a speech for the "doll", and she danced with the "doll". I don't know about you but I am sensing darker magic at play. ohh like insanity with a dash of wicca.

On Sunday I returned to school, only to find out that there was a flood in my apartment. Grrr... Apparently the person who lives above me had a leak in their air conditioning unit and had no idea. hmmm.. can we say blind. The ceiling literally swelled up like a nipple and then started gushing all over the place. Boo hoo. They finally fixed the problem , dried the carpet, painted the ceiling after patching up the hole from the punctured "nipple". Weird.

On a closing note. Rosh bought a new computer as well. She bought a black MacBook. Copycat. Giggle. She claims its the yang to my ying. hmm.. if you say soo.

Back to School...

So I am back at school. I am soo excited. I can't wait to pick out my books and my new notebooks and ohh ::excited giggle:: I can't describe the high. On a more rational wavelength, my apartment is cute, and I have decorated it to my liking and taste. Except for the obtrusive kitchen table in the front of the door. I called and asked them to pick it up otherwise I might eject it out of my window.

Here is a picture of the building Rosh and I moved into:

Last night a group of us (Rosh, Jane, Rishi, Amrita, and Sejal) went to Maggiano's and ate like the little piglets from Mother Goose fables. ::oink oink:: The fried zucchini is to die for.. The zucchini, Kasamh Se, and a dog are my top 3 for a deserted island survival kit. Fun fun fun.

For now, I have to go get ready for the "Night in the student center." I am promoting for UTSAV since I am now co-president. I think rosh is on her way out to buy a X-Box to draw in some new FRESH blood. Ohhh I can't wait to suck them dead. Hmm.. that sounded erotic, not the tone I was going for but that doesn't matter. [Reminder to self: tell abs to read blog] lol

Its quite sad I love to stay in the apartment. I am turning into a hermit. But then again I could use another couple of sets of arms.

I have to run now, since rosh packed the iron back in the box with the water container filled. Ugh... we have a flood.
